In this study, ten new 3-methyl-6-(2-substituted aminoacetyl/propanoyl)-2-benzoxazolinone derivatives were prepared and their structures were determined by elemental analysis, IR and 1H NMR data. The anti-nociceptive activities of these compounds were investigated using a modified Koster test. It was found that some of the synthessized compounds are capable of inducing anti-nociception i animals. 3-Methyl-6-(2-imidazolylacetyl)-2-benzoxazolinone (4b) has been found to be the most active among the synthesized compounds.
