Synthesis and effect of some new [1,2,4]triazolo [4,3-a]quinazolin-5(4H)-ones and related compounds on Ehrlich Ascites Carcinoma cells

Synthesis of several new 7-iodo-4-phenyl-1-substituted-[1,2,4]triazolo[4,3-a] quinazolin-5(4H)-ones (IX, XIII, XV, XVI, XXIII, XXVI) and related heterocycle compounds have been reported. The structures of newly prepared compounds were confirmed by elemental analysis, chemical reactions and spectral data. Compounds VIII , XIX, XX and XXVI acted as potent cytotoxic agents.
