Composition of the essential oil of Caucalis platycarpos L.

Results of the investigation of the composition of the essential oil obtained by hydro-distillation of the aerial parts of Caucalis platycarpos L. (Apiaceae) are presented. Essential oil was analyzed by GC-MS. The oil proved to be rich in ses-quiterpenes. Spathulenol (10.0%) was the main compound of the oil.
