Concentration of cefaclor and cephalexine were measured simultaneously in blood plasma after protein precipitation, using a newly developed RP high-performance liquid chromatographic method on C8 colum. The method was found to be reproducible with a relative standard deviation less than 6.0% over the concentration range 0.2-30.0 mg mL-1 for cefaclor and 0.5-50.0 mg mL-1 for cephalexine in blood plasma samples. The limits of quantification were 0.1 and 0.25 mg mL-1, respectively.
